Adil Mayank - A brief introduction
Introduction
Dear reader, welcome to the very first post on this webpage. Having my own corner on the internet feels exciting and a little surreal. It’s a space where I can share freely under my own name - a digital identity I’ve long wanted to build.

I’m Adil Mayank, 31 years old, and if I had to describe myself in one word, it would be curious. That curiosity has shaped much of who I am today - from the choices I’ve made to the passions I now pursue. And the best part about passion is this: it only grows stronger when shared.
One of the main reasons I’ve started this webpage is to create a personal space where I can share my thoughts, experiences, and lessons with the world.
Background and Career Path
I graduated in Mechanical Engineering (2012–16) and was also an NCC cadet. While I enjoyed subjects like Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics, I couldn’t picture myself building a career in that field. What left a stronger mark on me was my time with the NCC - it instilled discipline, resilience, and a deep admiration for India’s defence forces, especially the Army.
I appeared for multiple SSB interviews but never got a recommendation. Even so, each attempt was invaluable. Those experiences pushed me to ask tougher questions about myself and helped me seek my why.
A few years later, in 2021, I discovered something new that truly clicked - software development. I taught myself to code, and what began as curiosity quickly grew into commitment. The transition deserves a post of its own, but in short, I finally found something I could see myself doing for years to come.
Because I never had formal education in computer science, I make it a point to keep learning - filling in conceptual gaps and staying updated.
Today, I work as a Full Stack Developer at Unstop, a Delhi-based HR-Tech startup. What excites me the most about my work is knowing that what I build impacts thousands of students and professionals as they shape their careers.

Lifestyle and Passions
Over time, I’ve realised that life feels fuller when you have passions outside of work. They add color and dimension to who you are. Here are mine:
- Software Development & Problem-Solving: I fell in love with programming because it feels like writing magic spells - a few lines of code can create solutions for thousands of people.
- Fitness: Training keeps me capable - physically and mentally. I enjoy strength training (always chasing my Squat, Bench Press, and Deadlift numbers) and complement it with running for endurance and heart health. The positivity of the fitness community is an added bonus.
- Travel & Exploration: Exploring mountains, terrains, and cultures humbles me and gives me new perspectives. Travel shakes up my routine and often leaves me with reflections that I carry into other parts of life.
- Thoughts & Conversations: I like diving into my own thoughts and discussing ideas - trivial or profound - with others. Those exchanges help me understand myself better.
If you ever meet me, you’ll likely see the influence of at least one of these four things.
That’s It for Now
I consider myself fortunate to have found passions that give meaning to my actions and direction to my days. And now, I finally have a place to share them with you - the dear reader.
This is just the beginning. In future posts, I’ll dive deeper into my journey into coding, fitness progress, travel stories, and more.
This is Adil, signing off!
